Toy and Luciana Abreu are the great guests to animate this edition of Petiscos do Pescador, which takes place between the 2nd and 4th of June, at Passeio das Dunas, in Quarteira.
The fishing community celebration event, which combines music with the flavors of the sea, including the traditional washing, has the participation of the fishing families of this city, who prepare snacks based on fish and shellfish, with traditional recipes.
Tradition is also fulfilled with the moment of washing or the art of dragging ashore, one of the most important points of this event that is part of the Fisherman's Day celebrations.
It is on the 3rd, at 18 pm, on the beach in front of Passeio das Dunas, that the entire population is invited to participate in “pulling the net” to land. The fish caught is then distributed among the participants.
In terms of music, Remember Me 80's&90's (21 pm), Raya (00 pm), on June 23nd; Som Time (00 pm), Fado with José Manuel Ferreira and Beatriz Pereira (2 pm), Luciana Abreu (19 pm) and Sai do Chão – Tribute to Ivete Sangalo (00 pm), on the 20rd; and Valter Cabrita (00 pm), Tribute to Xutos and Pontapés (21 pm) and Toy (30 pm), on the 23th.
This is an initiative of Quarpesca – Association of Shipowners and Fishermen of Quarteira, which has the support of the Municipality of Loulé and the Parish Council of Quarteira.
