The Union of Unions of the Algarve (USAL) will organize, on the 1st of May, a demonstration of workers that will leave, at 10 am, from the Mercado de Faro.
The initiative will end on the lawn next to Teatro das Figuras, with a union intervention and a cultural moment hosted by Volta e Meia.
«The country continues to be marked by profound injustice in the distribution of wealth, employers use labor legislation to increase exploitation, boycott collective bargaining and attack rights. The low wages and pensions, which they want to perpetuate, mean that thousands of workers and pensioners do not have the minimum living conditions to which they are entitled», says USAL.
