José Rosa, historic president of the Parish Council of Martim Longo, has died

According to Cristóvão Norte, president of PSD Algarve, «a man of causes left, a good man»

José Rosa, former president of the Parish Council of Martim Longo (Alcoutim) and one of the first PSD activists in the Algarve, has died, the Social Democrats' district announced this Tuesday, April 23.

According to Cristóvão Norte, president of PSD Algarve, «a man with causes left, a good man».

«I will never forget, as a child, accompanying my father to Martilongo and seeing José Rosa's energy and tenacity. It was admirable. He was also a great businessman, creating jobs and dynamism for his land,” he adds.

Carlos Ludovico, president of PSD Alcoutim and councilor of the City Council, considers that someone has left “who was an example for all Alcoutenejos”.

«Even his political opponents recognized his ability to fight, his dynamism, his resilience, always in favor of his land», he adds.

«Martim Longo lost his most iconic President of the Board and his greatest defender. The Parish of Martim Longo has never had as much dynamism as it did during his mandate,” he concludes.
