The Public Prosecutor's Office opened an inquiry related to "the vaccination of municipal officials" in Portimão. This is one of 33 inquiries already opened related to irregularities in vaccination against Covid-19.

«In view of some specific questions raised by the press, it is clarified that, in addition to previously confirmed situations, inquiries were opened in relation to facts reported concerning private social solidarity institutions in Castelo Branco, Farminhão, Resende and Trancoso or related to the vaccination of municipal officials in Lisbon, Portimão and Reguengos de Monsaraz», says the Public Ministry in a reply sent to Lusa.

The Public Prosecutor's Office delegated to the Judiciary Police the investigation of irregularities with the vaccination plan, “in order to promote uniform treatment and greater flexibility in the articulation with sectorial inspections”.
