Boat trips, walks to observe fauna and flora and traditional games: the Ria Formosa Natural Park (PNRF) turns 46 and will celebrate the date with an open day, on the 4th of May.
With the exception of boat trips, all activities take place at the Marim Environmental Education Center (CEAM), in Olhão, and are offered by partner entities that celebrate the anniversary of the PNRF, in partnership with the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF).
The open day also includes the public presentation of the PNRF Co-management Plan, taking place from 11 am, in the CEAM auditorium, with the presence of the Regional Director of Nature Conservation and Forests of the Algarve, Castelão Rodrigues, and the president of the Co-management Committee at PNRF, Rogério Bacalhau.
This day also suggests a visit to the Olhão Pisciculture Pilot Station (EPPO) to find out more about aquaculture.
