Six new cases today are in Loulé, number of recovered increases [with map]

94 people have already recovered from Covid-19 in the region

Os six new cases of Covid-19 which are mentioned in the epidemiological bulletin of this Monday, April 27, of the General Directorate of Health, are in the municipality of Loulé, found the Sul Informação.

The region registered today an increase of 6 new cases confirmed, from 322 to 328, in numbers accumulated since the beginning of the outbreak in the Algarve.

The number of recoveries, our newspaper found, also grew – and more than the number of new cases.

In total there are now 94 people who have recovered from Covid-19 in the region. Compared to yesterday, there are eight new ones recovered in the municipalities of Olhão, São Brás de Alportel, Albufeira, Silves and Portimão.

In the specific case of São Brás de Alportel, the only infected person has already recovered, which means that both this municipality and Monchique do not have, at the moment, any case of Covid-19 active.

As for the deaths, there was another one in the region yesterday: the second in the home of Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Boliqueime, like the Sul Informação reported this sunday firsthand. This is an 81-year-old woman who had many associated health problems.

Today's DGS bulletin pointed to another person with Covid-19 in Albufeira, but, according to our newspaper's official source, this case has not been correctly attributed.

Note 1: the map is updated whenever necessary with data provided by the DGS, City Councils, Regional Health Delegate, Regional Health Administration and/or other sources contacted by Sul Informação.

Note 2: There may be a discrepancy between the total number of cases and those that are, on the map, distributed by municipality, since the information disclosed by the DGS, presented by municipality, refers to the total number of clinical notifications in the SINAVE system, corresponding to 82% of confirmed cases'.
