Manuel Cajuda elected president of Olhanense

Cajuda collected 545 votes

Manuel Cajuda was elected this Wednesday, May 31, president of Olhanense. The former coach and player of the Rubronegros led the only candidate list for the elections.

Cajuda collected 545 votes, with 148 voting members. Two blank votes and one null were registered.

The election of Manuel Cajuda means the end of the long presidency of Isidoro Sousa, who led Olhanense for 16 years.

Born in Olhão, Cajuda played for Olhanense in 1971/1972 and 1975/1976.

Later, both in the 80s and in 2012/2013, he was also coach of the club in his hometown.

After having been in the I Liga for five consecutive seasons from 09/10 to 13/14, Olhanense, which was involved in financial problems that led to the arrival of foreign investors, was dropped from division to the District that will play next season.
