Lagoa brought together 250 students to discuss the development of the county

The initiative brought together 250 students at the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium

Lagoa was the stage, on the 3rd of May, of a MyPolis Youth Assembly, with the aim of promoting the active participation of young students in the development of the municipality. 

The initiative brought together 250 students at the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium.

The assembly allowed young people to present their proposals to the educational community and representatives of the Municipal Executive within the scope of the work developed in the school context in the Citizenship classes that are streamlined with the support of the animators who are part of the Academia MyPolis Project in schools.

«Promoting active citizenship among young people is fundamental because they will be the decision makers of tomorrow. With these projects, we intend that they begin, from an early age, to have an idea of ​​the needs of the territory and to contribute to building an increasingly better municipality in which to live, work, study or visit», said Luís Encarnação, mayor of Lagoa.
