The University of Algarve will hold a welcome session for new students, on Monday, September 19, at 8:45 am, in the Municipal Pavilion of Penha, in Faro.
«In addition to welcoming and welcoming new national and international students, the initiative also aims to contribute to their full integration, not only in university life, but also in the city and region that welcomes them», highlights the UAlg.
The ceremony begins with interventions by the Mayor Rogério Bacalhau, followed by the president of the Academic Association, Fábio Zacarias, and the rector of the University of Algarve, Paulo Águas, who will close the session.
UAlg also invites «families and friends to watch this session live through the YouTube e Facebook».
After this joint welcome session, new students will also be welcomed into their respective Organic Units, where they will receive more detailed information about its operation.
To better welcome and integrate new students, providing them with unique and enriching experiences, from the 15th to the 24th of September, various solidarity, social, cultural and sporting activities are taking place.
