The five elected by the PS to the Chamber of Olhão will have responsibilities, with president António Pina calling on many portfolios and choosing Elsa Parreira as vice-president, announced the municipality.
The distribution of portfolios was made known by the highest authority responsible for the municipality at the first meeting of the executive of the current term.
António Miguel Pina, president re-elected for his third term at the head of the Chamber in the municipal elections of 26 September, is in charge of the areas of Financial and Property Management, Human Resources Management, Public Contracting, Strategic Planning and Community Funds, Planning Urban Planning and Spatial Planning, Legal Support, Sotavento Fishing Local Action Group (GAL), Communication and Tourism, Municipal Companies, Fire, Security and Civil Protection and the Municipal Police.
Elsa Parreira, who will remain as vice president, is responsible for Education, Social Action and Social Housing. Ricardo Calé is responsible for Public Works, Maintenance and Energy, Health, Information Technology, Medical-Veterinary Intervention and Public Health Defense, Traffic and Cemetery Management.
João Evaristo is the councilor responsible for Culture, Sports and Leisure, Youth, Environment, Business Support and Municipal Transport and Catarina Poço were assigned the areas of Urban Planning, Citizen Services and Document Management, Administrative Modernization, Data Protection and Auditing , Toponymy and Management of Public Spaces.
All councilors with folders are from PS. The other two members of the executive, Álvaro Viegas and Daniel Santama, both from the PSD, have no assigned roles.
