The Local Support Center for the Integration of Migrants (CLAIM) in Tavira is inaugurated this Wednesday, June 23, at 16 pm, with the presence of Secretary of State Cláudia Pereira.
The government official, with the Integration and Migration portfolio, will also participate in the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Municipality of Tavira and the High Commission for Migration, at the Main Hall of Paços do Concelho.
"This collaboration aims to promote and boost the reception, integration, participation and professional and civic training of immigrants and their descendants, through the development of transversal policies that provide an integrated response of public services in partnership with civil society", says the Tavira Chamber.
In this sense, «the local authorities play a relevant role in the implementation of a proximity service that allows an effective response to socially and economically vulnerable populations», he adds.
