Mito Algarvio celebrates World Accordion Day with concert to be broadcast in Brazil

The concert will be broadcast at various times, on May 6th, on Rythmica Web TV

«Some of the best accordion players in the world», among which Algarve musicians, will participate in the concert “World Accordion Day 2021”, on May 6th, show that will be broadcast on the Brazilian cultural channel Rythmica Web TV at 19:00 pm, 21:00 pm, 23:00 pm, and 1:00 am, he announced the Mito Algarvio association.

“The instrument with strong cultural roots in both countries serves as a motto for network programming of excellence,” says the association.

The concert is the result of a partnership between the producer Quitanda Musical, Instituto Oswaldinho do Acordeon (Brazil) and Mito Algarvio – Association of Accordion Players of the Algarve (Portugal), associations that integrate the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA), Member of the International Music Council an official NGO partner of UNESCO.

The invited Portuguese accordionists are Inês Vaz, João Barradas, João Frade, João Palma, Nelson Conceição and Ritmo Fole.

As for Brazilian accordionists, some of the guests are Oswaldinho do Acordeon, Hermeto Pascoal, Renato Borghetti, Luizinho Calixto, Gustavo Almeida, Fernando Ávila, Pablo Moura and Joquinha Almeida, Helinho Medeiros, Adriana de Los Santos, Thaís Andrade and Johann Bremer.

The celebration will also feature accordionists Mirco Patarini (Italy), Laimonas Salijus (Lithuania), Petar Maric (Serbia) and Irina Serotyuk (Ukraine).
