The Teia D'Impulsos Association will hold the eighth debate of the Teia D'Ideias cycle on the night of May 9, at 21 pm, at Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes, under the theme “Products of our Land – A socio-economic wealth”, in a partnership with Portimão City Council, ETIC_Algarve and Rádio Costa D'Oiro.

Since the primordial times of civilization, the land has been the main source of human subsistence, being also a source of culture and identity, as people make themselves known for what they harvest and produce.

In addition to the sun and the sea, the Algarve has real social and economic richness in the land's products: figs and nuts from the barrocal, orange from Silves, sweet potato from Aljezur, arbutus and honey from the Algarve mountains , are just some of the gifts that this land presents to the Algarve, making it impossible to discover the region without smelling, tasting and tasting its regional products, often relegated to the background of the mass tourism that is promoted.

Teia D'Impulsos launches the challenge of diving into the products of the earth, in a small contribution to demonstrate the enormous social and economic wealth that these can represent in the present and in the future, promoting a gathering with the following panel discussion: Ludovina Rodrigues Galego ( Professor of the Food Engineering Course at the University of Algarve), Carlos Gracias (Algarve Wine Commission), Nuno Gonçalves (Quinta dos Avós – Algoz), João Minister (Project Querença), Carla Vieira (historian and researcher), José Paulo Duarte Nunes (Confraria do Medronho – “Os Monchiqueiros”) and Cremilde Paias Andrez (Algarvian confectioner), with the representation of Teia D'Impulsos being in charge of Ana Bernardino Vieira, in a debate moderated by Nuno Silva.

In addition to these participants, the exchange of ideas will also be enriched by the presence of several Algarve producers to promote and showcase their productions, namely wine, liqueurs, medronho, sausages from Monchique, regional sweets or sweet potatoes from Aljezur.

The coffee break of this meeting will have the support of the companies Bolos e Vitaminas and Delta, with the contribution of the Barman Association of the Barlavento Algarve, represented by Francisco Guerreiro, who will surprise those present with various mixtures of products from the Algarve land.

The meeting is open to all interested parties and can be followed step by step on the Facebook page of Teia D'Impulsos, being recorded in audio format, for later transmission by Rádio Costa D'Oiro through the program “Impulso”, in its broadcasts from the 10th to the 17th of May, which will air between 20:00 pm and 22:00 pm.

The ninth debate of this cycle will take place on June 6th and will be under the theme “The Sea – Business Opportunity”, with more information available at www.teiadimpulsos.pt.
