The 10th Binational Seminar on Municipal Public Management, organized by the Environmental Institute Biosphere and Tordesilhas Participações e Eventos with the support of the City Council, is running until November 11th, in Faro.

This meeting has the presence of Brazilian entities from mayors, municipal and state secretaries, parliamentarians and other authorities from that country, in a delegation of 31 elements.

The Seminar Faro 2011 aims to present to the Brazilian government authorities (especially mayors, municipal and state secretaries and parliamentarians) the advances achieved by the modern public management of the Municipality of Faro.

The Farense Chamber emphasizes that «the Municipality's public management is recognized for the evident effort to achieve a high quality of life for its citizens, so the strategic axes that the municipality follows to achieve its objectives in the various areas where it operates will be presented».

For five days, the Brazilian delegation has opportunities to carry out an intense program of activities, including conferences, round tables, technical visits and cultural visits in Faro.

Special focus will be given to the areas of municipal public administration, planning, environment, landscaping, education, culture, health, sport, transport, social welfare, tourism, urbanism, housing, public safety, historical/cultural heritage, technology of the information and corporate social responsibility within municipalities.
