Theater, jazz and Theatrical Reading Club liven up the end of the month at Mákina de Cena

This Saturday, May 27th, marks the beginning of the new programming cycle

Theatre, jazz and the Theater Reading Club. Mákina de Cena has several cultural proposals until the end of the month. 

This Saturday, May 27th, marks the beginning of the new programming cycle promoted by Mákina de Cena.

The Morning Sessions will bring – starting next Saturday and until the end of September – a lot of theater and jazz to Loulé.

Next month, the theater will be the protagonist and this Algarve city will receive plays from different companies, coming from the most varied parts of the country. The shows, aimed mainly at families and children and young people, will take place in different locations, such as the Cloisters of the Espírito Santo Convent, the Cerca do Convento, the Municipal Market and the Casa da Mákina.

Literature, Alice in the Garden, by Teatromosca, kicks off this program, with a double session at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm, at Casa da Mákina.

The show is free of charge, limited to the capacity of the room and prior reservation is advised via email: [email protected].

The very next day, Sunday, May 28th, at 18 pm, the MdC Jazz Club will receive a luxury duet composed by Zé Eduardo on double bass and João Paulo Esteves da Silva on piano.

As usual, the show will take place at Casa da Mákina. Tickets cost 5 euros and are subject to reservation by email to [email protected].

The theatrical Reading Club will also return at the end of the month, with a date set for the 31st, Wednesday, at 21 pm. This time, coordination will be in charge of Luís Campião, a writer and playwright born in Portimão, distinguished with several national prizes and with published works, some of which have already been staged in Portugal and Brazil.
