The first edition of the PrimeirOlhar Graça Lobo Prize, created by the Encontros de Cinema de Viana, was awarded this Sunday, the 7th, to the film «Para Além do Olhar» (2023), by Dinis Almeida and Giovana Chiconelli, students of ETIC – Escola de Technologies, Innovation and Creation.
The award was created with the aim of honoring Graça Lobo, «cineclub member, trainer in the field of cinema and first coordinator of the National Cinema Plan», for many years linked to the Cineclube de Faro and co-creator (with Anabela Moutinho), in schools in the Algarve, of the Juventude-Cinema-Escola project.
Graça Lobo, from the Algarve by choice, passed away on December 30 last year.

The PrimeirOlhar Prize is a competitive section of the Viana Cinema Meetings, which take place from the 2nd to the 14th of May, in Viana do Castelo.
The Prize aims to promote documentary cinema and highlight the best films produced by students of cinema, audiovisual and communication schools, or by participants in courses promoted by other entities in Portugal, Galicia, Brazil and other countries. of Portuguese language.
