Students from Olhão traveled to Seville to participate in the 21st “Feria de la Ciencia”

The Olhão school was the only Portuguese school to participate in the fair

Students from the Dr Francisco Fernandes Lopes School Group (AEFFL), in Olhão, participated on the 11th of May in the 21st Feria de la Ciencia, in Seville. 

The event, organized by Sociedad Andaluza para la Divulgación de la Ciencia (SADC) and Fundación Descubre, had more than 6000 students, 120 exhibitors and more than 40 entities.

Students from the RobóticaXL club and Clube Ciência Viva at the AEFFL School took projects developed throughout this school year in the areas of robotics, physics, and programming: “Planck’s constant with LEDs”, by Matilde Silva, “CanSat”, by Bruno Fernandes , “Robot Bombeiro”, by Virgílio Martins, “Disco de Euler”, by Simão Ramos, from the Science and Technology Course, and “Car-Luz”, by Carlos Águas from the Technical Professional Course in Management and Programming of Computer Systems were some of the of those presented.

The ROV and Escola Azul projects were also taken by the accompanying teachers, António Espadaneira, Emanuel Bettencourt and Rui Soares.

The AEFFL was the only Portuguese school to participate in the fair.

«The result was an enriching experience as it was possible to share and interact with audiences of all ages, from the various branches of science with innovative and interactive projects from all over the world, thus allowing to expand knowledge and create new ideas», refers to School.
