The new INEM regional headquarters, which is being built in Loulé and will allow the Urgent Patients Guidance Center (CODU) to return to the Algarve, will be completed "by the end of this year".

The guarantee was left to Sul Informação by Vítor Aleixo, mayor of Loulé, and Abílio Sousa, councilor responsible for public works, on the sidelines of the celebrations of the 35th anniversary of the elevation of Loulé to the status of city.

This new building started to be built in May last year, on a plot of land opposite the Municipal Cemetery and next to the Loulé Fire Department.

The work represents an investment of around 1,8 million euros and was visited this Wednesday, February 1st, on a tour by the municipality of the main works, as part of those commemorations.

The building will allow CODU to return to the Algarve.

After the closure of its regional delegation in the Algarve, in 2012, during the intervention of the troika, and the transfer of the valences to Lisbon, the region will have this center again, this time in Loulé.
