Zooarchaeology is the theme of a conference in São Brás de Alportel and Lagoa

The initiative will feature the participation of archaeologist Humberto Veríssimo and archaeologist Beatriz Pinto

“Bones and shells: what can they tell us about our past?”. This is the theme of the next conference of the Association of Archeology of Archeology of the Algarve to be held next Tuesday, January 10th, in São Brás de Alportel and Lagoa. 

The conference will take place first, at 14 pm, at the Costume Museum (São Brás de Alportel) and, then, at 30 pm, at the Convent of São José, in Lagoa.

The initiative will feature the participation of archaeologist Humberto Veríssimo, who, among other things, participated in the excavations of Alferce Castle (Monchique), and archaeologist Beatriz Pinto, both young people who will present their work in the area of ​​Zoo-Archeology, explaining how the analysis of animal remains allows us to better understand the past and the way of life of our ancestors.
