Syro performs in Lagoa at the “Festival Montepio à Vezes o Amor”

Concert is part of the Montepio das Vezes o Amor Festival and takes place on February 11

The “Festival Montepio à Vezes o Amor” is back for its 9th edition and will pass through the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium, in Lagoa, on February 11th, with a concert by the artist Syro.

The show is scheduled for 21:00 and tickets cost 15 euros.

Syro is the artistic name of Diogo Lopes, who was born in Barreiro, on February 23, 1995, and who since he was 12 years old has been connected to the world of music.

His musical roots were strongly marked by the musical taste passed on to him by his father, more focused on the international rock scene, with the band Genesis – Phil Collins, a great reference as a drummer – perhaps one of the most relevant projects for his career as a instrumentalist.

Syro was part of several projects as a drummer, having been a co-founder of the Portuguese band CAELUM.

After launching himself individually, he also developed the component of composer, as he gained experience in the studio, having even written themes for some renowned national artists.

The song “Deixa Passar” appears in an attempt to solve periods of greater tension for the artist, where inspiration, hand in hand with creativity, led him to realize that «it seems that we are facing the end of the world, full of problems and constraints, naturally everything passes, everything becomes lighter», comments the artist.

After signing for the RedMojo collective, which produced and released the theme, the artist now starts with his first single. The song is now available on all digital platforms and is part of the soundtrack TVI's new soap opera - "Valor da Vida".

Tickets for this show cost 15 euros (20% discount with cultural passport, Lagoa Social card or Rota do Petisco 2022 Passport and Montepio associates, available at the ticket offices of the Municipality of Lagoa) and are already on sale at Bowl and at the ticket offices of CTT, Fnac, Worten, Carlos do Carmo Auditorium, Convento de S. José Cultural Center and the Lagoa Municipal Council's Single Counter.
