Praça 1º de Maio, in Castro Marim, presents, from the 17th of December until the 8th of January, an exhibition of Christmas trees.
The initiative was a challenge launched by the Parish Council and the Municipality of Castro Marim, who challenged the pre-school and 1st cycle classes to decorate the wooden trees from the previous year with new colors and expressiveness.
The decoration is made with recyclable materials and aims to represent and give continuity to the sustainability policy advocated in Castro Marim.
This exhibition can also be visited at night, when the giant Christmas tree is illuminated, also in Praça 1º de Maio, and on the façade of the Igreja Matriz, which completes the picture.
