GNR detained 51 people and recorded 121 accidents in the last week

The Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) detained 51 people, seized 197 doses of hashish and recorded 121 accidents in the week from 31 October to 6 November. 

The weekly report on operations to prevent and combat violent crime, road inspection, among others, reveals that of the 51 detainees, 13 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 12 for driving without a legal license and seven for drug trafficking stand out.

The seizures concern 197 doses of hashish, 34 doses of lime, a light vehicle and 700 euros in cash.

In traffic, 564 infractions were recorded: 162 for speeding, 61 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 36 related to anomalies in the lighting and signaling systems, 28 for lack or incorrect use of the seat belt and/or restraint system for children, 14 for lack of civil liability insurance and 11 for misuse of mobile phones while driving.

There were also, in this period, 121 accidents recorded with one seriously injured and 19 lightly injured.
