Nurses “deliver” uniforms to CHUA administration in protest in Portimão

Nurses warn that strike is an “increasingly real possibility”

The nurses in the Algarve will “deliver” the uniforms to the Board of Directors of the Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Algarve (CHUA) on Thursday, the 21st, at 10:00 am, at the Hospital de Portimão, and warn that the “possibility of a strike is increasingly more real".

The Sindicato dos Enfermeiros Portugueses (SEP) thus continues the “Thursdays of indignation”, which serve as a protest against the lack of response to their demands, namely in terms of career progression.

The symbolic action on the 21st is motivated by the «“ingratitude” of the CHUA administration, the Ministry of Health and the Government».

“The demand remains and the possibility of a strike is not ruled out as the CHUA and ARS administrations continue to fail to respond to the various problems, the main one being the right to Career Progression”, according to the SEP.
