Playful fisherman rescued who fell from cliff in Ponta da Piedade

Man «found himself in a place of difficult access, in a conscious state and with some bruises on his body»

A 71-year-old playful fisherman, who accidentally fell off a cliff at Ponta da Piedade, in Lagos, was rescued on the afternoon of this Wednesday, February 2nd. 

According to the National Maritime Authority (AMN), the man “was in a place of difficult access, in a conscious state and with some abrasions on his body”.

The fisherman was «rescued by the Volunteer Firefighters of Lagos for the boat at the Ferragudo Lifeguard Station», he adds.

The victim was then transported by the elements of the Lifeguard Station to the port of Lagos, where there were elements of INEM who then transported her to the hospital.

The event was attended by elements of the local Command of the Maritime Police of Lagos and the Lifeguard Station of Ferragudo, as well as a wide angle team of the Volunteer Firefighters of Lagos.
