The urban art panel “Igualdade” was inaugurated on the 24th of October, on the west façade of the Lar de Sagres building.
In this mural by Jorge Pereira_no thanks, «the visual artist addresses the theme of Equality and Non-Discrimination through an assembly set, whose pieces will serve to build an ideal society, more egalitarian in its human diversity», says the Chamber of Vila do Bispo.
The work also explores a series of schematic figures that refer to the social diversity and heritage of the territory of this municipality.
The mural was inaugurated by the councilors for Equality of Vila do Bispo: Rute Silva (president of the Chamber), Marisa Azedo (technical director of Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Vila do Bispo) and Margarida Flores (director of Social Security of the District Center of Faro).
Inserted in the commemorations of the Municipal Day for Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination, this initiative promoted by the City Council aimed to raise awareness through art.
