Works on the water supply system affect traffic in Messines

Silves Chamber asks motorists for understanding

Traffic circulation on the southern access to São Bartolomeu de Messines will be restricted between the 6th and 8th of July due to the work of installing control devices and reducing losses in the water supply system.

According to the Municipality of Silves, «given the specificity of the works (which include, opening a ditch, laying the pipe, filling the ditch and installing the pipe), traffic will be diverted from the section in two phases, where they are at in order to minimize the impact and constraints on traffic and accessibility».

On the 6th of July, the 1st phase, the south access to Rua da Liberdade, should be done by going around the tree on the right inside the intersection and the circulation of the exit of the same towards the south, should be done circling in the lane of opposite shooting.

On the 7th and 8th of July (2nd phase), traffic on the access to Rua Primeiro de Maio should be done through Rua Doutor António Cabrita Carneiro.

The local authority “requests the attention and understanding of motorists and residents for this situation, so it thanks everyone for their collaboration”.
