The University of Algarve (UAlg) is going to award 58 Scholarships of Excellence to the best students of each course in the undergraduate and integrated masters course, in a ceremony next Wednesday, June 9th, starting at 17:00.
These scholarships will be given to the best students of each undergraduate and integrated masters course at the University of Algarve, who enrolled in the 1st year, for the first time, in the 2020/2021 academic year.
The session, which will be attended by the winners, will be broadcast online, on the YouTube channel and UAlg's Facebook.
This year, 58 scholarships will be awarded, sponsored by 46 entities, which will pay in full the tuition fee for the 1st year of Degree and/or Integrated Masters, set at 697 euros.
All students who entered the University of the Algarve (UAlg) in first option, with an application grade equal to or greater than 17, will be awarded a scholarship for excellence.
«With this initiative, UAlg intends to motivate the best students to continue their training at this Academy, providing them with quality education», says UAlg.
“This initiative, within a framework of social responsibility, represents an important sign of recognition of merit for the work carried out by these students, in addition to being a significant help for families to bear the burden of their students”, he adds.
In the eight editions already held (2012/13 to 2019/20), the University of Algarve, together with more than 40 companies, has already awarded 336 students. With the 2020/21 edition, the number of awarded students increases to 394, totaling support of more than 360 thousand euros.
