An elderly woman who was a patient at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia home in Boliqueime died yesterday in the hospital in Faro, where she was hospitalized since April 30, victim of Covid-19, confirmed to Sul Informação the mayor of Loulé.
It is the sixth death in the municipality of Loulé and of the fifth of users of that nursing home.
Sílvia Sebastião, provider of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Boliqueime, added, in statements to our newspaper, that you were 90 years old and already bedridden, before becoming ill with Covid-19.
This death was already included in the epidemiological bulletin of today, 16th of May, of the General Directorate of Health. register a total of 15 deaths.
The Algarve region also registered today a new confirmed case of Covid-19, which Sul Informação found out, it occurred in the municipality of Faro.
But there is good news regarding the increase in the number of recovered patients, which today, in the Algarve region, are already 230, that is, 9 more than yesterday.
The recovered cases refer to the municipalities of Portimão (plus 3), Albufeira (plus 2), Faro (plus 2), Loulé (plus 1) and Tavira (plus 1).
