Ruas do Azinhal are being reclassified

Intervention will cost 300 thousand euros

The renovation works of streets nthe village of Azinhal, in Castro Marim, has already started.

The intervention, which also includes the execution of the rainwater drainage network in the village's multi-sport area, has an estimated cost of 300 euros.

According to the Chamber of Castro Marim, this was a work «long awaited by the residents of the village of Azinhal, where many streets still lacked any type of redevelopment since the 80s, in a manifest disturbance to the circulation of vehicles and people, but also in the field of hygiene and urban cleaning. Thus, conditions for the enjoyment of public space are now created in a village whose centrality is marked by the crossing of the EN122».

This is one more of the various street renovation works that the Castro-Marinean municipality has been carrying out all over the county, «seeking to preserve the quality of circulation, not only car traffic, but also pedestrian traffic».

The most recent was in Odeleite, but the tide of renewal has also passed at Quinta do Sobral (Castro Marim), in Monte Francisco, in Junqueira, in the village of Castro Marim and in the northern part of Altura. In the future, there will be works in Cabeço da Junqueira and Rua da Alagoa, in Altura.
