Bruno Milhano, from Lagos, will represent Portugal in the Mister Deaf International contest, a beauty and talent contest for the deaf that will take place from July 7th to 15th in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The young Algarvian will compete with deaf people from around the world in this initiative which, according to its organizers, the association Miss & Mister Deaf International, aims to give participants an opportunity «to demonstrate, not only, their unique talent, intellect and beauty , but also their personal and humanitarian goals».
The winner of the competition will be “the ambassador of the deaf community” and will spend a year traveling “to meet important leaders” and to be “the voice of the deaf around the world”.
