Book of chronicles by a high school student Gil Eanes released in Lagos

Texts that make up the book were published over three years on the blog “Notícias do Gil”

The book “A look in search of the meaning of things”, which brings together the chronicles written by student Valéria Tabacaru, over three years, in the blog “Notícias do Gil”, by the Gil Eanes Schools Group, in Lagos, will be presented on Saturday, February 9th, at 16 pm, at the Municipal Library lacobrigense.

The 34 chronicles were written following a challenge launched by secondary school teacher Gil Eanes Fernando Ildefonso to his philosophy students and published monthly. In addition to the texts by Valéria Tbacaru, the book includes illustrations by her colleagues, namely Laura Aires, Anastácia Moreira, Mike Romano, Íris Nicolau and Soraia Calixto.

The book is edited by the Grupo dos Amigos de Lagos, with the support of the Câmara lacobrigense, which fully sponsored the publication, following a project promoted by the Group of Schools (AE) Gil Eanes. It will be number 20 of the “Conhecer Lagos” collection, dedicated to authors and themes from Lacobrigense society.

Valéria Tabacaru is one of the students in the city of Lagos “who take their preparation seriously and are committed to reconciling their study with various other activities typical of young people and remain integrated in the community to which they belong from an early age”, according to the grouping.

«The city, the world we live in, the interests and concerns that accompanied Valéria and her colleagues, during these three years in which she was more attentive in the search for the meaning of things, make this work also a precise document, that the three involved entities gladly decided to provide it in a more traditional support», concludes AE Gil Eanes.
