The 1st Manga & Comic Event in the Algarve takes place on the weekend of August 18th and 19th, in Faro, organized by the Algarve's Geeks Nucleus and the Association Faro 1540, with the support of the Moto Clube de Faro, Portuguese Cosplay Association, PT Merch, BD House, Kingpin Books – Comic Book and Gallery, Portuguese Ninpon Taijutsu Association, Sailor Moon Portugal, Cosplayer E-Zine and OtakuPT.
This is an unprecedented initiative in the Algarve region and will provide a weekend full of entertainment.
The event's program will include Workshops on Real Drawing with Models, Cosplay, 2D Illustration, with Tiago da Silva (awarded illustrator and teacher at the etic_algarve school in Portimão), and Modeling/Painting by Gundams.
Highlight also for the karaoke sessions with the greatest hits of Japanese animation, Cosplay parade, photo session with cosplayers at Jardim da Alameda, and outdoor anime projection. During the two days of the Manga & Comic Event, visitors will also be able to count on manga stands, comics, soft toys, figures and merchandising, video games, card games, a bar with cookies, sushi and drinks, and clothing stalls and Gothic & style items Lolita.
The objective of the 1st Manga & Comic Event in the Algarve is to bring to the Algarve region a type of initiative that is already a tradition in Lisbon and Porto: gatherings between fans of comics, animation, manga and Japanese culture. But not only that, since the intention is also to make this world known to the little squares, of characters with colored hair and big eyes, to those who don't know them yet.
In August all roads lead to the Association's Headquarters Faro 1540, at Rua Pedro Nunes, no. 14, in Faro, for the 1st Manga & Comic Event in the Algarve.
