Faro: Preventive detention for two young people who tried to kill the owner of a commercial establishment

Man was attacked with knife

Two young people, aged 18 and 23, were in pre-trial detention on suspicion of trying to kill a 44-year-old man, owner of a commercial establishment, who refused to serve one of them after closing time, in Faro. 

The man, according to the Judiciary Police (PJ), «was seriously attacked, using a sharp weapon, and was, at the time, assisted by emergency services and, subsequently, taken to the Algarve University Hospital Center».

One of the suspects was located by the GNR 24 hours after the attack, and was arrested by the Southern Directorate of the PJ, «after collecting evidence».

Following the investigation, the other participant in the attacks was also arrested, verifying the existence of family ties between them.
