980 athletes from 19 nationalities participated on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of March in the Algarve Bike Challenge, which took place in Tavira.

The race, played in men's, women's or mixed doubles, started with a Night Prologue, on day 1, with a 3-kilometer route through the historic center of this Algarve city.

On day 2, 85 kilometers were covered through the Serra de Tavira, along paths that are already part of the history and emotion of this competition, such as the Carcavaia trail, the Malhada de Santa Maria trail, the Morcegos trail and Mata da Conceição.

On the third day, the athletes cycled along paths in the Algarve barrocal, west of Tavira, on a 68-kilometre route.
