Street Food – Without Borders is the big news of New Year’s Eve in Albufeira

More than one hundred and a half international gastronomy points offer visitors a journey through the various flavors of the world

The first edition of Street Food – Without Borders takes place in Albufeira, from December 28th to January 1st. The event brings together, at Largo Engenheiro Duarte Pacheco, from noon onwards, more than fifteen gastronomic points for all tastes, under the coordination of chef Nuno Bergonse.

African, Latin American flavors and the Mediterranean diet are some of the delicacies you will be able to discover at this food fair. Street food, always accompanied by good music.

The renowned chef Nuno Bergonse is responsible for coordinating the moment and reveals that “this is an excellent bet by the Municipality, taking into account that the experience reinforces the gastronomic offer on New Year's Eve and the days leading up to it, certainly guaranteeing , great memories for visitors to this festival of Street food".

To complement the pleasure of food and the smell of these delicacies, Dj Deelight will join the party, on December 28th, and Wilson Honrado, on December 29th. The shows take place at 21:30 pm, but from 20:00 pm onwards, there is street entertainment with dozens of characters and acrobats providing family fun.

José Carlos Rolo, president of Albufeira City Council, states that “New Year's Eve is a much-awaited moment for the people who live here and for those who decide to visit us during this festive season and, therefore, we always try to surprise by increasing its size and the number of activities compared to the previous year”.

For the mayor, this is “a way of eliminating some deficiencies in the gastronomic offer, always taking advantage of the opportunity to bring new people and tourists to get to know the municipality”.

The first edition of Street Food – Without Borders is integrated into “Albufeira Carpe Nox” program, the event organized by the Municipality that marks the beginning of 2024 and which, this year, is expected to bring around 300 thousand people to Praia dos Pescadores.
