Pedro Nuno Santos elected general secretary of the PS

Pedro Nuno Santos was elected general secretary of the PS, with 24.080 votes, corresponding to 62%, in direct elections held between Friday and today.

José Luís Carneiro was the second most voted, with 36%, and Daniel Adrião came in third place, with 1%.

The announcement was made by the president of the PS Congress Organizing Committee, Pedro do Carmo, at the party's national headquarters, in Lisbon.

In the Algarve, Pedro Nuno Santos also won, like the Sul Informação reported.
