The public presentation of the second issue of «Arade. Magazine of the Lagoa Municipal Archive» is scheduled for November 18th, at 15:30 pm, in the multipurpose room of the Lagoa Municipal Library.
The presentation will be given by Fernanda Ribeiro, professor of Information Science at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto.
The magazine, whose first issue was released in September last year, is «entirely dedicated to publishing works within the scope of Archivism».
The launch of the second issue is part of the program for the 250th anniversary of the founding of the municipality of Lagoa (1773-2023) and the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the inauguration of the Lagoa Municipal Archive (2022-2023).
«This initiative is aimed at archivists, librarians and documentalists, historians, archaeologists, museologists, students, teachers and everyone who deals directly or indirectly with the Archives and with the preservation and dissemination of history and local/regional memory or the school community , scholars, visitors or simply people interested in this topic», highlights the Municipal Archive of Lagoa.
Access is free, just limited to existing places.
