Committee meetings are monthly

The Co-management Committee of the Ria Formosa Natural Park met in Tavira, on the 26th, in what was the launch of a practice that this structure intends to implement: «the decentralization of some of these meetings by the municipalities that make up the PNRF (Loulé, Faro, Olhão, Tavira and Vila Real de Santo António)».

«The Co-management Committee of the Ria Formosa Natural Park (PNRF) intends to create a dynamic of proximity management, in which different entities put at the service of the protected area the best they have to offer within the framework of their competences and responsibilities, putting into practices participatory, collaborative and articulated management, in the areas of promotion, awareness and communication», according to AMAL – Comunidade Intermunicipal do Algarve, which is one of the entities that make up this commission.

The work session in Tavira was preceded by a visit to Camera Obscura – Tavira Eye, where the photographic exhibition “Ria Formosa – One of the 7 Natural Wonders of Portugal” is on display, «composed of photographs of four lovers of the Ria Formosa: Ana Gouveia, José Manuel Palma Gonçalves, Juana Martín and Mário Rui Gouveia». The exhibition can be visited until November 24th.
