Armação de Pêra will walk “À Babuja” with LAMA Teatro

on the 19st

The play “À Babuja”, by the company LAMA Teatro, will be presented on the 19th of July, at 22:00, in the Old Mini-Golf Zone, in Armação de Pêra.

The show, summarizes Câmara de Silves, «could just be a project by the sea, as the name implies. The idea, however, is to keep that as a starting point, but to be much more: an itinerant project, appealing to many audiences, of great plastic rigor, and that makes known some regional treasures».

«It's a fun show, inspired by Cervantes' classic, 'Don Quixote de la Mancha'. We enter the imagination of this “Algarvian” hero, where the buoys are transformed into armour, the umbrellas into windmills and the van into a horse. On this adventure, we dance in the dunes, park the donkey at the restaurant and look for Dulcineia's maiden's foot», describes the municipality.

“À Babuja” consists of a creation from scratch designed for the whole family, with a strong musical component, and “a physical, onomatopoeic and clownish language will be explored. It is a universally understandable show due to its physical, musical and visual language».

This is an initiative of the Câmara de Silves, which has the support of the Parish Council of Armação de Pêra.
