Cocktails served in a can and accompanied by a court of Algarve brand «Verso» received, last week, their first distinction, and then as «Product of the Year», in what is the largest fair in the sector at national level, the Lisbon Bar Show.
«The fantastic image of this Algarve brand is the cover that protects creative combinations inspired by Portuguese traditions that allow you to drink 100% artisanal cocktails, with and without alcohol, wherever, whenever and with whoever you want», say the promoters of brand.
«A sense of freedom that, throughout the year, captured the attention of members of the academy, a group that brings together the most knowledgeable and influential people in the sector, and who attributed the highest score among the 5 finalist brands», they add.
Just over a year after its birth, the two founders of the project, Tiago Oliveira and Wilson Pires, did not hide their joy.
«The idea was to create a bar that was not static, and from there Verso was born. Cocktails that move with you, drinks that will inspire professional colleagues. Why paint a wall, when you can paint a train?”, commented Wilson Pires.
Tiago Oliveira highlights other aspects of Verso: «We created a brand with very strong values. In our production area, we peel the raw material, not the we unwrap. There are no aromas, extracts or concentrates. Only products coming from Nature. Some of them planted by us».
In this «liquid poetry», the Sangria Mediterrânica has as characters, the pear, ginger, basil and white wine, there is also a Poncha da Madeira that makes passion fruit rhyme with fennel, fermented honey and William Hinton cane brandy (a brand also nominated for product of the year), or an Laranjada that adds lavender and blackberry to the fruit that gives it its name, for a reading refreshing and delicious.
