Farense beat Benfica B by 0-1, in the “last breath” of a game played today, Friday, at Caixa Futebol Campus, in Seixal, counting for the penultimate round of the II Liga, and promotion is almost guaranteed direct to the I Liga, which can even be confirmed this Sunday.

The Algarve are in second place, with six points more than Estrela da Amadora, who only play in two days, against Nacional. If your direct opponent does not win, Farense has a guaranteed presence in the top echelon of Portuguese football. If Estrela wins, Farense only needs one point, in the last round, to secure the second position.

Today's game, against Benfica's B team, was decided in added time, at 90+7 minutes.

Marco Matias was the scorer, with a climb on the left and the assist for Rui Costa, who scored the winning goal.

The victory turned out to be a gift for the thousands of Farense fans who traveled to Seixal to support their team.

With this result, Farense now has 66 points. In the last round, which will be played on the 28th, the Algarve will host Tondela.
