Two young people aged 23 and 25 arrested in Portimão for drug trafficking near a school

Several doses of drugs, a gun and 4415 euros were seized

Two young people, aged 23 and 25, were arrested this Thursday, May 25, in Portimão, for drug trafficking near a school.   

The arrests were made as part of an investigation carried out in recent weeks, where the PSP obtained "strong evidence that one of the suspects was dedicated to the commission of these crimes, including in the vicinity of an educational establishment".

Thus, according to the PSP, strategies were outlined to end this criminal focus as quickly as possible.

Yesterday afternoon, during a surveillance operation, the PSP detained the two men in flagrante delicto in the act of the transaction and seized 668 doses of hashish, 75 doses of amphetamines, 37 doses of cocaine, 1 brass knuckles, 1 firearm. airsoft, 4415 euros, «which are suspected to come from illicit activity», and various material for cutting and packaging the product.

The detainees were present at the Court of Portimão, where they were imposed the coercive measure of daily presentation at the PSP Police Station, prohibition of contact with the co-accused and witnesses, prohibition of being 300 meters from schools and prohibition of using and or buy weapons.
