Professor Paula Nogueira School Group shows the «Futurist City» in Olhão

This exhibition is part of the National Plan for the Arts

From the 29th of May to the 2nd of June, the Professor Paula Nogueira School Group, from Olhão, is holding the exhibition “Futuristic City”, in the car park (floor -2) of the Ria Shopping, in that Algarve city, within the scope of the its Cultural Week.

«As soon as you go down to floor -2, you will be faced with the modification of the space designed to park vehicles in a city where innovation is celebrated, designed to invite people to circulate through “streets” with different themes, according to the interdisciplinary projects developed by students of different age groups that make up this Group, represented by works from reusable materials where originality prevails in a context of sculptural installation/interventions», explains the organization.

This exhibition comes within the scope of the National Arts Plan, seeking to make known what is produced within the schools that make up this grouping, in conjunction with the surrounding community.

The organization thanks the collaboration, namely from Ria Shopping, which made available «the space and the indispensable equipment/materials, from the students and teachers, who, with their commitment and dedication, allowed this admirable exhibition, from the direction of the Grouping for the support granted, Association of Parents of the Professor Paula Nogueira School, the Association for the Protection of Street Animals, the Senior University of Olhão and the Parish Council of Olhão».

The Cultural Week of that Grouping of Schools ends, on the 2nd of June, with a Family Running March, starting and ending in front of Ria Shopping. Participants will cover an urban route of 5,5 kilometers, with warm-up at 19:00 pm and departure at 19:30 pm.

«As Citizenship for Global Development is pressing, this exhibition managed to embrace civic awareness and community involvement», concludes the organization of this school event.
