Farense lost 2-1 to Trofense, in a match for the 26th round of the II Football League, played this Saturday, April 1st. With this defeat, the Algarve can be “caught” by Académico de Viseu in 3rd place.
Trofense took the lead in the 9th minute.
After a corner, Marcos Valente headed the goal, with no chance for Ricardo Velho.
In the second half, the Trofa team extended the advantage and again with a headed goal, this time by Henrique Pachú (60').
Farense had to go in search of the result and could have scored in the 67th minute.
Called to convert a penalty, Pedro Henrique was unable to beat Miguel Santos.
The goal had to arrive in the 79th minute, by Lucão, in a lack of attention by Trofense's defense.
Still, it wasn't enough: Farense ended up losing 2-1.
If they win, Académico de Viseu will have the same points as the Algarve, but with an advantage in the direct confrontation.
