Six people were injured when a bus crashed on the morning of Tuesday, April 18, on the A22, next to the Silves service area. 

The alert was given at 9:41 am, and the accident happened at kilometer 36, in the direction Faro-Lakes.

A source from the Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command told the Sul Informação that the first alert reported a "fire in a light vehicle", which did not occur.

All the wounded have already been "stabilized and transferred to health units".

According to Correio da Manhã, the driver of the Rede Expressos bus suffered a sudden illness.

Circulation is restricted to only one lane.

There are 33 operators and 14 vehicles on site, from the Fire Department, GNR, INEM and the concessionaire.
