An event that aims to be «much more than just economic» and that this year brought together six thousand people around wines and spirits, culture and the Ria Formosa, raising awareness of the importance of preserving the sea grasslands.
The 9th edition of the Algarve Trade Experience, an event promoted by Garrafeira Soares, took place in Faro on the 6th and 7th of March, and, right on the first day, reached the record of entries.
«We had almost three thousand visitors on the first day alone and that was a winning bet, because we broke the entry record. Holding this event in the theater space was a challenge, but the venue is incredible and adapted very well to what we wanted for the wines. Even so, preference fell on Passeio Ribeirinho, where we had hundreds of brands presenting international novelties», he revealed to Sul Informação Rita Soares, responsible for the organization.
The event was divided between Teatro das Figuras and Passeio Ribeirinho de Faro, where three circus tents were set up – the theme of the party.
«We brought circus companies, many actors and, in fact, we managed, in an area where there was only land, to put on an event of this size. The weather conditions did not help, but that did not deter people who are very sensitive to this type of initiative», continued the manager of Garrafeira Soares.
In addition to promoting fun and networking Garrafeira Soares intended to «sensitize tourism and all players to the importance of preserving the environment and these marine prairies".
In this sense, both the Centro de Ciência Viva do Algarve and CCMAR, the center to which the value raised with tickets was donated, had their own promotion space at this event.
«I would like this presence to also educate our business fabric for this preservation», reveals Rita Soares.
In the Teatro das Figuras space, in addition to the presence of the wine brands sold by Garrafeira Soares, there were masterclasses, exclusive rarities tastings and concerts by Algarve artists chosen in partnership with Teatro das Figuras.
«We wanted the hotel representatives to get to know them and there is no better way than to give space to culture in an event like this», concludes the businesswoman, also stressing the support given by the Municipality of Faro in the realization of this 9th edition of the Algarve Trade Experience.
Despite not yet revealing the location chosen for the next edition, Rita Soares explains that the main requirement is that it be an «educational space that has characteristics that may be important to develop the chosen concept».
