Ana Pinto de Oliveira, professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (FMCB) of the University of Algarve, has just been appointed by the World Health Organization (WHO) to join the WHO – African Regional Immunization Technical Advisory Group (RITAG).
This group is composed of a group of experts who provide the World Health Organization regional directors and the respective countries where it operates with recommendations on regional immunization priorities and strategies, based on epidemiological and social issues.
Ana Pinto de Oliveira, who works as a doctor in the area of public health, has been present, over the last few years, in several humanitarian missions, and is currently director of the postgraduate course in Humanitarian Action, at the University of Algarve.
