Bricklayer arrested for stabbing housemate to death in Portimão

The victim and the aggressor, both foreigners, had been sharing the same house in Portimão for several months

A Senegalese man, bricklayer by profession, was arrested on suspicion of having killed his housemate with a razor, this Sunday, February 12, in Portimão. 

According to the Judiciary Police, the crime took place after a discussion "provoked for a futile reason and triggered by excessive alcohol consumption".

The man, armed with a razor, stabbed the "victim in the neck area, causing a cut-perforating wound that culminated in his death", says the PJ.

The victim and the aggressor, both foreigners, had been sharing the same house in Portimão for several months, «with recurrent conflicts».

The PJ says it managed to collect relevant evidence» that culminated in the arrest.

The operation had the support of the PSP.
