The Municipality of Vila do Bispo has assumed, since January 1, the powers of the State with regard to the services that were allocated to the Social Security Institute, announced the municipality.
Thus, the Social Assistance and Assistance Service (SAAS) for people and families in situations of emergency, vulnerability and social exclusion, as well as the conclusion and follow-up of the Insertion Contracts of Beneficiaries of the Social Insertion Income (RSI).
Within the scope of the transfer of competences, in the area of Social Action, from the Central Administration to the municipalities, the Municipality of Vila do Bispo starts to carry out the Assistance and Social Monitoring Service (SAAS), and the development of follow-up actions for the beneficiaries of the RSI, with a view to promoting their autonomy and social and professional insertion, in partnership with the Lucinda Anino dos Santos Social Assistance Center (CASLAS).
The Municipality of Vila do Bispo informs that social assistance, which was carried out at the Local Social Security Service of Vila do Bispo, will now take place at the municipal facilities, at the Social Action service, located in the Cultural Center, from Monday to Friday. fair, between 09:00 and 15:00.
