Another phase of the Ponta da Piedade requalification work has already been awarded, announced this Friday, December 9, the Câmara de Lagos.
Identified as “Component 2 of the 2nd Phase”, «this intervention is the one that will generate the greatest impact on the management of this territory, both during the course of the works, due to the great interest in the visit that the place raises, and after its conclusion , as it makes it possible to reorganize the road network and parking areas», says the Câmara de Lagos.
Also covered are “the landscaping treatment of spaces, public lighting and the continuation of walkways with viewpoints upstream and downstream of the section currently in the final stages of execution, that is, between Praia D. Ana and Praia do Pinhão, as well as in the area surrounding the Farol from Ponta da Piedade», he adds.
The work represents an investment of 2,4 million euros, being co-financed by the European Union (ERDF) through CRESC Algarve 2020, and has an execution period of 360 days.
